Google recently invited artists to design artwork themed around their community and neighbors to be featured on the company’s prototype self-driving cars. Kind of like the daily Google Doodle.
This one reminds me of our Dystopian future where smog covers every city and we use hot air balloons to find fresh air to breath (and get away from the sentient autonomous cars):
This one reminds me of that time San Francisco burned for days after that earthquake in 1906, ultimately destroying the city - but it’s probably just the color choice:
I’m sure what I took from these weren’t the artists’ intentions.
On a serious note, some of these are pretty cool, and a unique way of potentially personalizing our cars in the future, in a similar way you’d pick a cell phone cover. You can check out all of the submissions and winners over at Google.
