Lord March has enlisted famous fashionistas like Twiggy to patrol his estate during this year's Goodwood Revival. British motor sport's first and only Ladies Day takes place Friday, September 1st, women dressed in period - 1948-1966 - costume will be selected for awards of champagne and flowers based solely on how well they're dressed. The Revival celebrates the heyday of British motor sport and of the Goodwood Circuit, which was open during those years. Some serious attention to detail takes place, ensuring that everything from the cars to the mechanic's outfits are historically accurate. Male visitors are encouraged to dress up too.
The Goodwood Revival is quite possibly the coolest auto event on the planet. Dressing up feels silly right until the moment you realize you're standing in the paddock next to Bobby Rahal, Damon Hill and Stirling Moss - all dressed in '50s duds too.
When I was there I saw Moss thrash a 250 GTO, Shelby prep a pair of Daytona coupes and Jack Brabham flip an F2 car.
Add some hot chicks and it's all over fellas.
