GM to Tune Its Cars for Maximum Dubbage

GM and other carmakers, in an attempt to recapture some of the $3.2 billion in sales of chrome wheels they've lost to the aftermarket, are offering oversized rims tuned to the specs of individual car models, the New York Times is reporting. Smart move, though I wonder if GM rims will ever be as sought after as a set of 24" Diablos. Perhaps dealerships will offer a "delete dubs" option for those who wouldn't think of riding on 22" Chevys.
