Car dealers who focus on Buicks or Pontiacs may want to consider switching to dry cleaning or a Quiznos franchise, or else start carrying other GM brands. GM's new product-line tightening plan will favor megadealers over those who sell a single GM brand, according to GM North America's vice president of vehicle sales, service and marketing and delivering of ill will, Mark LaNeve. GM's plan to elmiminate product clones, he said, will leave holes in standalone dealers' inventory, while offering Buick-Pontiac-GMC dealers the greatest business opportunity.
