General Motors announced it will cut the Envoy XUV — that's the one with the sliding roof for those playing along at home — from its SUV lineup. Lackluster sales are blamed for thet company's x-ing of the now ex-XUV (hiho!), as is consumer demand for seven-passenger models over ones with free space. The company says the decision won't affect jobs at the Oklahoma plant where the XUV is produced, but analysts say it could squelch demand for stepladders.
