GM Introduces Ethanol Campaign Sans Wagoner

GM launched its new, national "Live Green, Go Yellow" awareness campaign to promote its E85 ethanol-powered vehicles (yellow = corn, get it?) at the Chicago show yesterday. Rumors had been swirling all morning that the featured keynote, GM CEO Rick Wagoner would be a no show, and whoops, it was true. Instead, Brent Dewar, vice president of marketing and advertising, and all around good sport, played understudy for Wagner, who had an unavoidable conflict, possibly with the National Switch Grass Association's first annual pot luck luncheon and ass caning. Either way, we're pretty sure RW had other things to worry about than yellow gas caps (GM's new symbol of E85 compatibility).

An Avalanche of popcorn. Get it?
