Glossary of Automotive Terms: Write Your Own Auto Reviews!

We may earn a commission from links on this page.

Pretentious feebs obsessed with cars often like to use terms like "turn-in," "pent-roof combustion chamber," "cam follower," and "polar moment of inertia." The people at Car and Driver have seemingly obsoleted themselves (and us), by posting a glossary of automotive terms on their site. Now you, dear reader, can pen your own automotive reviews at home. Just go down to the local exotic car dealership, test-drive yourself a Ferrari F430, take some digital photos, write it up on your afternoon off, lay it all out in Microsoft Publisher, print it out and hang it on your wall next to your timeslips from the last test and tune. Damn, this lowering-the-barrier-of-entry thing that worked so well for us might just come back and bite us in the ass. Thanks, C/D. Thanks a lot.
