With three times as many wheels as doors, the Italian-built PMI-Covini C6W quietly emerged as the freakiest production car in Geneva. Creator Ferruccio Covini, an automotive and aerospace engineer, looked to the Tyrrell P34, a six-wheeeled F1 car of the 1970s, as an anteceedent for the multi-wheeled supercar, which we believe is the only one of its kind. Dubbed the C6W, the car uses a mid-engine setup, with a 4.2-liter Audi V8 and six-speed manual tranny for motivation to speeds up to 186mph, according to the company. Why six wheels? More stability and comfort at speed, better braking and more safety in case of a blowout. That and for freaking out the competition at stoplights. More pics ahead.
