Except for the flared fendering, Ford s SAV concept looks like a design study gone missing from Volvo s studio. It s got a raked-over body shape that wouldn t seem out of place merging onto the autobahn or wandering the back roads of Tuscany, with the face of a European Ford Focus and the tukus of a Honda Odyssey.
Ford refers to the SAV s body-panel carvethroughs in terms of athletic muscularity, which isn t so far off. Still, those flared fenders, which Ford appears to be using to separate its Euro Focus from Volvo s S40, are the design equivalent of tripping over a hurdle.
