We love engine swaps. Taking a sturdy, sporty frame and dialing up the intensity with some extra horsepower, such that the car's original engineers hadn't forseen (or if they did, they kept it to themselves), is like creating life. Often, as with Frankenstein's monster, the results are unexpected: one minute, it's making friends with children, the next it's destroying the town. Or, in this case — a Datsun 240Z sporting a supercharged Corvette V8 — fishtailing toward oncoming traffic like it was on dry ice.
