The results of our latest poll, "Which Automotive SuperBowl Ad Sucked The Least?" indicate Ford, with its ad for the Mustang convertible "Frozen in Fargo," is the winner. Click through for all the stats fit to squint at.
We preface the results by again stressing their non-scientific nature. That means no one with more than a fourth-grade math education has signed off on them, and certainly not before a few drinks.
All told, Cadillac was a strong player, despite requiring three separate spots to garner its 35% of the vote. Ford Motor Company follows, at 17%, aided by its popular (and now virally transmitted) "Lustful Priest" ad, which despite its outlaw status, is as inoffensive as a sack of puppies (and just as stinky after a week). Honda played it straight, showing its new Ridgeline pickup in various states of off-roading, to pick up 11%, while Toyota grabbed 12% for its clever "Get Moving" ad for the Prius hybrid, arguably the most technically whizzy ad among the contenders.
