When we lived in California, we had a friend who ran his Ford box van on biodiesel, so we're familiar with the signature french fry smell. Some folks in Florida, however have taken it a step further and are simply collecting used cooking oil from restaurants (which they would normally have to pay to have disposed of) and filling their Mercedes diesels with it. It works best in warmer climes, as the oil has a tendency to coagulate when the mercury drops below 40. This could be a boon for Sunbelt truck stops. A freakin' boon we say!
