To Infiniti, and beyond! Any resemblance between Opel's Antara GTC (Gran Turismo Crossover) concept and Infiniti's FX series is strictly verboten. Besides, does the Japanese soft-roader have a pantographically hinged rear gate? I don't think so. (Although I'm not sure.) The Antara's fold away rear seats slide out of the way at the touch of an EasyEntry button (why didn't I think of trademarking that name?). A 212-hp twin-turbo 1.9 CDTI four-cylinder engine helps power the seat motors, and everything else as well. According to Alain Visser, Opel's Executive Director for European Marketing, "Anyone who has been lucky enough to see the Antara GTC [in the flesh] has felt instinctively: 'Here comes a strong Opel.'" And then, hopefully, "I should step out of the way now."
