With no homologation for Europe yet and no distributors, but a planeload of moxy, China's Geely motors introduced four new models — none of which looked to have been counterfeited — to the European crowd. Despite having what could be the worst exhibit location in the entire joint, the PR reps cheerfully handed out press materials and presented the cars to one reporter in charmingly halting English. The reporter was somewhat taken with its BL Series, an affordable (presumably) small coupe, whose front fascia was reportedly inspired by the traditional face-painting designs of the Beijing Opera. Then he borrowed a pen, which he promptly forgot to give back. We'll probably see these guys in our parts around five years from now. Maybe they'll even ask for their pen.
