Considering the 997 911 Turbo Cabriolet hasn't had a proper intro until this week at the Frankfurt show. The twin turbocharged 3.6 liter six-cylinder has Porsche's Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) that reduces turbo lag while providing requisite pull at higher revs. The powerplant already generates 480 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque at 1,950 rpm. Porsche also offers the "Sport Chrono Turbo Package", which includes an overboost function that produces intermittent peak torque of 501 lb-ft. You can't tell from the Frankfurt show floor shots, but the turbo cab can get to 62 mph faster with the Tiptronic S tranny than with the manual (four seconds vs. 3.8). Robot shifting, f*** yeah!
