Forgotten Probe 16 Found?

We can't quite vouch for the authenticity of this Probe 16, the pictures of which were sent to us by a reader looking for someone willing to restore the lost UK classic. The really rough specimen could, however be the lost "third Probe" (experts believe only two remain in existence), built by the Adams Brothers in the late 1960s. According to legend, the third model, owned by songwriter Jimmy Webb ("Wichita Lineman," "Up, Up and Away") burned to the ground early in its life. Any takers? contact us at tips@jalopnik.com. I own Probe #AB2, the first one built; It has never been in a fire. I bought it twenty years ago in Los Angeles, and have stored it ever since. It is a wreck, and I do not have the funds to have it restored.
