It's Forgotten Mercury Week, folks, and we're moving on to our next FoMoCo badge-engineered special: the LN7. Damn-near-identical sibling of the Ford EXP, the two-seater LN7 was built for the 1982 and 1984 model years only (the EXP name wheezed along for a few more years). About 40,000 were built, but the road from factory to crusher was a very short one for the little Mercury that couldn't and they're incredibly rare today. Too bad; an LN7 packing about 30 more horses and build quality several notches up from "indifferent" could have stolen some turf from the early CRX.
