Ford issued a recall affecting nearly 260,000 of its "Ford Tough" pickups and SUVs, due to fuel-line malfunctions. Among vehicles affected are 180,000 F-Series Super Duty pickups, Ford Excursion SUVs and E350 and E450 vans, from 2004 and 2005 model years, which have been reported to stall without warning due to a problem with fuel injection control modules. Also recalled are 78,000 F-series trucks with gas engines, in which fuel lines have been found to separate from their main connection, causing loss of power, stalling and fuel leakage that could result in a fire, according to the NHSTA.
