For those of you who think that the stock 2009 Ford F-150 FX4 is a bit too tame, Ford has been secretly developing a super off road version under the project name "Raptor." According to Four Wheeler Magazine, this new F-150 will use the same long-travel suspension technology used in the Baja 1000.
This type of suspension allows extra travel so that the truck can get across obstacles at a much quicker pace. The magazine claims that this truck is probably still as much as two years out, probably just long enough for people to buy their FX4 and then be forced to trade up to the FXXX4, or whatever they're going to call it.
