Ford Racing pulled back the covers on the 2012 Cobra Jet Mustang drag racer today, confirming some of the specs leaked out a couple weeks back. Price tag: $103,980. Who needs a Lexus for Christmas?
As expected, the Cobra Jet uses the bones of the 2011 SVT 'Stang, including the 5.4-liter aluminum V8 with an option for one of two superchargers, but Ford did not reveal the final horsepower figures for either package. Only 50 will be built, starting early next year; those who want their own power can also buy the chassis minus the engine.
