Right on time, FoMoCo's made the announcements Automotive News reported it would. Late yesterday, the company confirmed it's building the Ford Shelby GT — a consumer version of the Rent-a-Racer Shelby Mustang GT-H offered at Hertz outlets (in white or black with silver stripes) — and that the Lincoln MKS concept will go into production in 2008 as the company's next full-size flagship sedan. We're still waiting for the Fairlane announcement, but it'll come before the week's out. More details on the new boldness coming later today.
