We've already got a crush on Finkbuilt for instructing us on how to turn static model cars into slot racers. Now, they're featuring the Tri-Magnum, a DIY car of the part-motorcycle variety. The Tri-Mag originally appeared in Mechanix Illustrated magazine in the early 1980s — one of Robert Q. Riley's foam-bodied u-build-it prototypes, mostly using VW components and old motorcycles for the frame and drivetrain. One of these days we're going to raid the sofa cushions and build one of these things.
