Procrastinators, please move along; nothing to see here. Classic Restorations, the car shop in upstate NY that recently announced it would incorporate Apple's Mac Mini into its custom work, just released in-progress photos of its first Mini Mac project car, an original 1969 Nova SS. They started the project the weekend the Mini was made public.

The 450-hp, big-block Nova slash techie lab has been fitted with a new Mac Mini in the dash, hooked to a seven-inch touch screen and assignable aluminum USB knob on the center console. The rig primarily serves as an audio head-end, using iTunes, but with a USB hub inserted where the ashtray once was, the car's owner can also hook up his MIDI keyboard. We just hope he pulls over before jamming the first eight bars of BonJovi's "Runaway," or at least do it in heavy bridge traffic. We can't wait to see what's next.
