Ferrari Confirms Existence of "Super Enzo"

Ferrari officials reversed their earlier contention that the "Super Enzo," seen last month tearing up the company's Fiorano test track, was only a development mule. As it turns out, the company will in fact sell 20 of the tweaked out Enzo FXX models — at the monarchical sum of $1.8 million per. The FXX is more flaming booster rocket than prancing horse, or about as close mechanically to an F1 car as most billionaires will ever drive to the helipad. With more than 40% more downforce than the "base" Enzo, a larger-bore version of the Enzo s 6.0-liter V12 (6.2 liter, total), generating 800 hp at 8,500 rpm, and a tranny that can flit from gear to gear at less than 100 milliseconds a pop, it'll take more than a few company-sponsored track days to obtain the skills to match the bills.
