Ever want a small van that also appears to be venomous? Well, if that's the case, then the Fiat Doblo-based Ram Promaster City is just the van for you.
In order to compete with the vacuum cleaner-esque Nissan NV200 (and Chevy's NV200 based city van) and Ford's Transit Connect, Chrysler had to bring over a van that wasn't a Caravan with panel sides instead of windows. Enter the Promaster City.
The little Promaster is offered with just one engine: Chrysler's now ubiquitous 2.4 liter Tiger Shark inline four. It has 178 horsepower and 174 pound feet of torque. Not enough to haul a shit ton to the work site, but enough to get those flowers from Battery Park to Central Park in a hurry.
While it takes nearly 10 seconds to get to 60, it takes just 3.7 to hit 30, aka 3.7 seconds to hit city speeds. That's pretty damn good.
There are two versions of the can: A straight up cargo van and a "wagon" version that has a bench seat in the second row. So less cargo, more people.
