A Florida scooter store has started hawking low-speed electric scooters to people who've been caught drunk driving, since such models don't require a Florida license to drive. They're selling about 10 a month, absent cupholders.
The whole point behind a "DUI" is to prevent people from endangering themselves and others.
Now how much of a risk are they really posing toward themselves and others by driving around on scooters limited to 20mph?
Not much in my assessment... especially considering I can ride my bicycle faster.
On this particular issue, I do NOT support MADD.
To me, they're just being vindictive for the sake of being vindictive.
