Few things could ever force me to drive into oncoming traffic, especially on a motorcycle. But this rider did exactly that to get away from a road-raging lunatic.
We don’t know much about this video, which appears to take place in—of course—Florida. Many of the comments on YouTube make reference to another video by the motorcyclist called “Messing With Cars,” so the “victim” is presumably not exactly completely innocent, here. Who knows what he did to get the Ford Fusion driver’s blood boiling.
Not to mention, it’s perplexing why the motorcyclist would ride into traffic instead of taking a side-street. Or pulling into a driveway. Anything but riding into oncoming traffic.
Roni G, the person who uploaded the video to YouTube, and who claims to be the motorcyclist in the video, responded to critics in the YouTube comments saying:
Please understand everyone, that I’m not an experienced rider, I will admit when I am wrong. all of this stuff wasn’t on purpose but an attempt to get away, I didn’t chose to get on to on coming traffic, he blocked my path on both lanes, I didn’t want to harm myself or other people, which is exactly what happened, no one got hurt, everyone, even the guy goes home. a police report is the most I will do. no one got hurt everyone goes home. that’s the end goal. if I was more experienced then yes it could have been differently. but I was in fear of my life, and panicking.
I’m still a bit suspicious of the incident’s authenticity, as I am with many random “outrageous” YouTube videos. But if you’d like to suspend disbelief for a few minutes and just watch some USDA prime-choice, Grade A road-rage goodness, have a watch.
UPDATE:
Roni G. has posted a video entitled “How It All Started,” which seems to show footage of what initially prompted the Fusion driver’s rage:
