So this morning I was pootling along in the Crown Vic, heading into the 880/980 interchange at a safe and reasonable speed when Krokus' 'Long Stick Goes Boom' came on the radio. Naturally, the stimulus of said 200-proof Hoon Tune triggered the firing of a cascade of hardwired limbic-center synapses, leaving me helpless in its grip and forcing me to take that high-banked curve at a speed somewhat higher than that recommended by Caltrans. No harm done... but had I just emerged from a marathon session of Spy Hunter (yeah, old school games rule) before hopping into the car, who knows what terror I'd have caused? At least, that's the deal according to a British driving school's survey claiming all manner of evil associated with driving video games.
