A Brazilian man faces several charges after speeding his Volkswagen through a crowd of hundreds of bicyclists Friday evening in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Given the sheer force of the attack caught on video, it's amazing no riders were killed.
An attorney for the driver of the black VW Golf, Ricardo Leis, 47, says he was only driving in self-defense, claiming the bicyclists were threatening him and his 15-year-old son who was riding in the passenger's seat. The melee sent eight bicyclists to the hospital and injured dozens more.
