That's right Zephyr, you're gone. Lincoln's midsize sedan will be renamed the MKZ for 2007, continuing Lincoln's move toward variations on its old "Mark something" naming scheme. We don't yet know whether the erstwhile Zephyr's new mark will be pronounced "Mark Zee" or M-K-Z, but we do know it'll be offered in all wheel drive, which will be Ford's new thing. The company announced today by 2007 it will offer more than 20 all-wheel-drive models and expects sales of AWD products to exceed 500,000 units annually, including 400,000 car-based vehicles — going on to encompass 50% of all models by 2012. Mmm, kay.
