Don't Be the Asshole Who Stops Interstate Traffic to Do Donuts

I can’t believe that there are people out there who still need to hear this, but here it is again: The middle of an interstate is not the place to have your street race meet up. Unfortunately, some dicks thought the I-24 in Antioch, Tennessee was the ideal location to rip out a few donuts, leaving traffic backed up for miles.

On Saturday February 9, a video taken by a man named Ricardo Suarez was picked up by local news station News Channel 5 in Nashville. It shows a group of people holding up traffic to do some donuts in the middle of the interstate while people look on.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol called the act a “blatant disregard for public safety,” according to local ABC affiliate WKRN, but Suarez mentions that he didn’t see any police presence in the area. That may simply be due to the fact that, y’know, the road was congested so some dumbasses could do donuts.

There’s no word on how long the road was shut down for, but the line of cars backed up behind the guys doing donuts stretches as far as the eye can see. I mean, any amount of time stuck behind fools doing very dumb and illegal things on the highway is far too long.

Unsurprisingly, a whole compilation video of the night’s adventures has popped up on YouTube. The donut stunt is just one of the many stupid things these people got up to on Saturday night. This video, though, puts their plate numbers in full view. Congrats on making the police investigation easier, fellas!

This is the kind of shit that gives car enthusiasts a bad rap. We should not have to say “don’t do donuts on an interstate,” but apparently we do, so consider this your final warning: do not do donuts on an interstate!
