I wish that someone actually did this in real life, back when the Concorde connected London and New York in just 3.5 hours: Taking off from Heathrow 28L runway and turn to the Thames to get under the Tower Bridge.
It could have been quite the shot. However, this actually happened in the world's only active Concorde flight simulator, which means that it cold have happened in real life. The experience was amazing, according to David Learmount: "About half a second later we made it through. Phew! Left wingtip a bit close. Worried about the fin, too."
You can do it to, if you pay to get some time on the simulator at the Brooklands Museum, in
Weybridge, England. [Brooklands via Learmount]
