Design Students Display Lamborghini Espada Concepts

Finalizing a project launched by Lamborghini, students at Italy's Scuola Politecnica di Design displayed their prototypes for an updated Espada, a Bertone-designed GT of the early 1970s. The one-year project was overseen by the design directors of Audi (Walter De'Silva) and Lamborghini (Luc Donckerwolke). Automakers often use such student design efforts to explore the potential for new vehicles, and Lamborghini is reportedly looking at options to expand its line with a four-seater — though it's not likely Lambo will reuse the Espada name.
