Fledgling kit-car builder, DDR Motorsport is developing a GT road racer based on Toyota's high-performance Mk2 2.0 liter engine and MR2 drivetrain components. The GT-style car, which will likely sport a lightweight fiberglass body over a tubular chassis, will likely be sold in kit form at first, before the company rolls out completed models, which could include extensive engine mods to boost horsepower from 230hp for the stock motor to over 400 with twin turbos and engine management software. Pricing is said to be in the $20,000 to $30,000 range.
