We were recently lamenting hot rod art's fade into the dustbin of pop culture history since its peak in the late 1960s. Our lamentations ended when we saw the work of Dave Marek. Dave's illustrations of radical custom vehicles are a thoroughly modern send-up of works by Barris and Roth (George and Ed, not Chuck and Philip), with a tremendous level of technical virtuosity.
