Officials in San Mateo County (just south of San Francisco) are fed up with hoonage, and they're not gonna take it anymore. Beginning Friday, the fuzz will begin inspecting vehicles for illegal modifications, in what we imagine will be somewhat similar to the emphasis on supposedly aftermarket parts in SoCal that resulted in one clueless officer telling Bumbeck that the stock wing on his Evo wasn't legal. According to KESQ, "Officers will receive special training so they can spot the hot rods." Well now, that's reassuring.
