Typically, video games have a "1-up" feature allowing players to improve their health within the game. Even as games try to reach for more realism, adjusting the ability of a player to move around based on the damage, some form of "health pack" is still available to keep players from giving up or dying. Seriously, we could have never made it through Resident Evil 4 without those little herbs. Though the many varieties of health-giving objects have expanded since the birth of video games, we can't help but love the classic mushroom from Super Mario Bros. and its sequels. What it lacks in similarity to reality, it more than makes up for in its parallels to surreality. We still prefer the Taco Town Pizza Crepe Taco Pancake Chili Bag.
