Commenter Of The Day: Liturgical Tradition Edition

A liturgy is a prescribed form of religious ceremony or observance and in this country we tend to divide churches into those following a liturgical tradition and those that are not. For example, Catholic churches have a very strict liturgical tradition and you can go to a church in Seattle or Miami on a Sunday morning and much of the format will be the same. A non-liturgical church, even within the same tradition, can be very different from one to the next. The religious significance of this is debatable, but the important way to make the distinction is that it's much easier to make fun of religious groups if they have a predictable, well-known format. Guy crashes a Nissan 370z into a church and there were a lot of jokes about God and religion but none topped Racing_g73's poignant photo.

Yeah Church, you asked for it!
