What we remember the most about the Dan Aykroyd/Tom Hanks spoof was the two of them running around in goat leggings and that P.A.G.A.N. (People Against Goodness And Normalcy) is kinda brilliant. Oh, and there was that weird rap song... "City of Crime" that MTV played constantly before they became the very worst channel in the history of television. And yeah, MTV is so bad now, that playing a 20-year old video showing Aykroyd and Hanks rapping would be a major improvement. And finally, how could we forget Joe Friday's deadpan:

But that's not why we're here.
We're here because of what CEman had to say in the post concerning Godzilla's top speed GPS nanny nonsense:
Whay [sic] should it matter a whit to you? Do you live in Japan? If not, what does it matter?
More importantly, it is done because it is the LAW there. The Japanese people obviously have no issue with it or they would have it changed. Who are you to question that? I for one am fascinated with the idea of technology being used in this manner.
Try sticking to the story and not throwing your own bias in.
So many, many things to say. First though, whenever I hear stuff like, "Do you live in Japan? If not, what does it matter?" I get really nervous, with visions of Pat Buchanan in a John Birch t-shirt dancing though my head. Anyhow, I'll let you all pick this one's bones clean while I will remain curious as to why CEman thinks Jalopnik of all car sites should be bias free. Facts alone are for the accountants.
