For reasons never entirely explained, there are numerous references to the new defunct Oldsmobile in movies by the great American comedy film director John Landis. And not accidental ones. Not a prop guy always bringing Oldsmobiles. Very serious references. In his film Blues Brothers, Jake says "The new Oldsmobiles are in early this year" during the drive through the mall. The Dukes drive an Oldsmobile limo in Trading Places. In Thriller, also directed by Landis, Michael Jackson's girlfriend drives one. We could go on and on. He also likes Dodge's but nothing like the 400 MPH Super Streamliner that SpeedWagon likes.
It was Colonel Mustard in the salt flats with the Hemi.
A helluva walk from the Library.
