Still, we're not too macho to admit to digging a little bit of word play every now and again. Even if poetry isn't your bag, it's hard not to like Charles Bukowski. Here's a ditty he penned in one of his last books, Septuagenarian Stew:
The important thing
is the obvious thing
that no one is saying
We mention this because man oh man is it a good lead in to today's all-star, super #1 good best Commenter...
The comment comes from — who else? — Al Navarro and it's in response to Murilee's Top 44 Lemons of the 24 Hours of LeMons post:
Okay, here's a question...if Autoblog can field a car, why can't you guys?
We didn't realize you were such a big Bukowski fan, Al. May we recommend Tales of Ordinary Madness? Especially the story titled, "The Great Zen Wedding." Of note to only me, the book was originally published as, Erections, Ejaculations, Exhibitions and General Tales of Ordinary Madness. Oh, and as far as a Jalopnik entry in the 24 Hours of LeMons goes, stay tuned to this channel.
