Today, I told you that cleaning greasy car parts in your dishwasher is a bad idea. But what if I was doing it wrong, and there was a different appliance that could clean my oily parts in no-time?

Reader charlesmontgomeryburner dropped some knowledge on me today, saying:

Next time, use your microwave. It will soften the gunk enough so that you can just rinse it off. And please take video.


That’s genius. Why didn’t I think of that? I’m not sure what he means by “And please take video,” but I’ll be sure to try it right away, and report the results tomorrow.
