When the Tokyo motor show opens this October, Chrysler will unveil a new concept, the Akino, named after one of the designers from DaimlerChrysler's Pacifica Advanced Design Center in California. Akino Tsuchiya's Akino concept follows the recent trend toward automotive be-ins. It's created from a range of natural materials and recyclable synthetics that would make an interior decorator spit-take his half-skim mocha frap, including bamboo flooring. Other accouterments include throw rugs, throw pillows and mood lighting, as well as side glass design texture-coated for privacy. We're not sure at which point in the evening the actual driving takes place, but we think it's sometime after the cheese course.
