Chrysler estimates that 2,211 Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats are roaming this wonderful world of ours, and every single one has just been recalled due to a possible fuel leak. And it has nothing to do with gas evaporating the moment you lay into the throttle.
According to Chrysler (err, FCA US LLC), the recall was issued after a dealer found a possible fuel leak following a pre-delivery inspection. All FCA will say is that it's replacing a "fuel-delivery component" that's related to hose seals on over 2,000 of everyone's favorite tire vaporizers, and that no injuries, accidents, or customer complaints have resulted.
All told, 2,012 Hellcats in the U.S. are affected, while another 148 are in Canada, 30 are in Mexico, and 21 others have run free from North America and are roaming around the "NAFTA region." If you own one, expect a notice, or call 1-800-853-1403.
