Carmakers are very, very proud to have figured out how to get the confluence of gas and electricity to do more than create a massive, deadly fireball. So proud, in fact, that they want the whole world to see what goes on inside their hybrid-drive powerplants. Rather than offering some kind of miniaturization/masters-degree course that shrinks show-goers into tiny engineers, a la "Fantastic Voyage," they've rendered open their creations, and added some choice wayfinding signage, so the world can wonder "who's gonna fix all that crap when it breaks?"
