Some seem surprised the Chevy Volt, GM's personal (electric) Jesus (car), is built alongside the optionally V8-powered Cadillac DTS and Buick Lucerne at GM's Hamtramck assembly plant. We're just pleasantly surprised GM still builds cars with bench seats.

Sure, it's an option and not standard, but at least it's still available. We miss the days when you could shoehorn six into any premium sedan. Those were the days, weren't they?

Advice to any male teens: Buy an old Cadillac with a bench seat for your first car. Nothing is better for date night than a bench seat. A center tunnel is the ultimate date-night cock blocker. Trust me on this one, you'll get 10x more action in the Cadillac than any small car with sporty pretenses. It's all about ease of access. Modern driver's seats have room for a driver and little else. A bench seat on a Cadillac has room for just about anything and anyone.
