Chevrolet announced the name of its Daewoo-based SUV for Europe — introduced earlier this year as the S3X concept — the Captiva, which will debut at the 2006 Geneva auto show. It'll be the first compact Chevrolet SUV to get diesel power and the first model in Chevrolet Europe s line to be available with electronic stability program (ESP). It'll be offered in in front-wheel and four-wheel-drive variants, offered with two gasoline engines (2.4-liter four-cylinder and 3.2-liter V6) and a VM Motori 150hp common-rail diesel, and in five- or seven-seat models. For Americans, it's the New VUE review — Saturn's version is coming in 2008.
