Chinese automaker Chery is ready to move into the country, but at their own pace. You can't rush it. It'll happen. They promise. Speaking at a J.D. Power and Associates forum, Chery General Manager Lin Zhang said "To be honest, we don't have a definite timetable yet for entering the U.S. Market." The plan is to have Chrysler sell the cars as Dodge/Chryselr branded vehicles at a price maybe below $10,000.
Zhang also mentioned the Hornet, which is a rumor we've reported on before and now seems to have a bit more support. Either way, it looks like it'll happen but we just don't know how, when or necessarily what. [FREEP]
