While Shaftesbury Abbey in England no longer stands, its gargoyles live on in a museum, and the spirit of the gargoyles lives on in the art of Anthony Wilson, who recycles dilapidated vehicles into rather frightening and whimsical pieces of sculpture. Explains Wilson, "The cars were destined to live again as recycled metal, but with a little imagination they can be reborn as pieces of art, rather than being crushed and turned into baked bean cans." Thanks, Anthony. We loathe baked beans.
