Known today for Jay Leno's massive storage/shop facility and The Choppers traditional rodding club (featured on TLC's Rides), Burbank was already a hot-rod hotbed back in 1952, when the Road Kings began their reign of terror on the lakes, the drag strip and the streets. Notable members include the unforgettable TV Tommy Ivo and the legendary Don Prudhomme, as well as vintage drag racing favorites like Bob Muravez (who famously raced under the name "Floyd Lippincotte, Jr." as a way to hide his quarter-mile activities from his parents. Now more focused on the street end of the rodding hobby, the Kings still throw well-attended charity events in the LA area.
